On October 31, professor Oh Kwangwook of Global Business at Korea University Sejong Campus received a government commendation for contributions to accounting from the Financial Services Commission at the 8th Accounting Day ceremony held at the FKI Tower Conference Center in Seoul.

Professor Oh was recognized for his contributions including recommendations for periodic designation exemptions for value-up companies and rationalization of the external audit system.

 

Professor Oh currently serves as a professor in the Department of Global Business of the Faculty of Convergence Business at Korea University Sejong Campus. He has been actively engaged in accounting practice, including external auditing and interpretation of International Financial Reporting Standards, serving in various capacities such as Chair of the Insurance Subcommittee of the Korean Accounting Association, Advisory Professor for the Accounting Supervision Bureau of the Financial Supervisory Service, Member of the Joint Q&A Meeting at the Korea Accounting Standards Board, and Member of the Prior and Current Auditor Opinion Disagreement Council at the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
