Notice of the 2026 First Semester Double Major Application
※ Based on Article 35 of the University Regulations (Double Major) and Chapter 6 of the Academic Administration Regulations (Double Major)
1. Eligibility
a. Students whose primary major has already been assigned
b. Students who have completed at least 3 semesters of enrollment
(Transfer students: at least 2 semesters of enrollment)
c. Students enrolled as of the 2025 Second Semester
d. Students already accepted into a second major (double major, convergence major, self-designed major) or students who have applied for ABEEK accreditation are not eligible
1) Students wishing to reapply must formally withdraw from their previously accepted second major by November 10, 2025 (Mon).
2) Students who withdraw and reapply may do so only once. If they reapply and fail, they must fulfill the intensive major requirements in their first major.
2. Application Procedure
a. Menu: KUPID → [Registration/ Graduation] → [University Registration] → [Apply for Secondary Major]
1) Select college/department and complete the study plan
2) Click [Save Draft], review information, then click [Final Submission]
b. The application is only completed when both [Save Draft] and [Final Submission] are clicked.
If the student does not click [Final Submission], the application will be automatically canceled after the deadline.
c. Applicants to the School of Art & Design must clearly specify their intended track (Design / Formative Arts) in the study plan.
3. Selection Method
a. Evaluation is conducted in accordance with each department’s criteria such as grades, interview, study plan, etc. (Refer to the attached files)
b. The GPA considered includes all courses completed up to the previous semester (including F grades).
4. Application Period
a. November 12, 2025 (Wed) 10:00 – November 14, 2025 (Fri) 17:00
b. System errors may occur near the deadline; therefore, students must complete their application 1–2 hours in advance. No applications will be accepted after the deadline, and system-related issues will not be considered valid excuses.
5. Announcement of Results
a. Scheduled for December 30, 2025 (Tue) 17:00
b. Results will be posted on KUPID → Bulletin → Academic Notice
6. Important Notes
a. For students admitted from the 2004 academic year onward, completing a second major is mandatory. Students must complete either an intensive major within their first major, or a second major (double major, convergence major, or self-designed major).
(However, second majors are optional for students who entered via transfer admission.)
b. The intensive major of the primary major is equivalent to the former single-major system.
c. Students will officially enter the double major program starting the semester after the application semester.
d. The following departments do not accept double major applicants:
Law, Medicine, Nursing, Cyber Defense, Pharmacy, and contract-based departments.
e. Departments unavailable due to phase-out: College of Health Science, College of Education, College of Information & Communications
1) College of Health Science students (admitted 2006–2013): cannot apply to other departments within the College of Health Science (existing departments) or to newly created schools.
2) Students from other colleges applying to the College of Health Science may apply only to newly established schools (not existing departments).
3) College of Education:
– Computer Education Department: not eligible
4) College of Information & Communications:
– School of Computer & Communication Engineering: not eligible
(Students may apply to the Department of Computer Science in the College of Informatics instead.)
f. Some departments require a study plan; students must check the attached file ‘2026 Spring Double Major Application Guide’ and submit the study plan if required (max 1,000 characters per section).
g. Students must review all details in the double major application guide (attached file) before applying.
h. For inquiries about quotas or credit requirements for each department, contact the administrative office of the respective college.
